St. Vincent Pallotti's Vision

There is a great deal of information on this website for you to read about our founder, St. Vincent Pallotti; however, a brief summary is that he was born in Rome in 1795 and canonized in 1963 by Pope John XXIII.  St. Vincent Pallotti recognized the call of all the baptized to promote the Gospel of Jesus Christ.  His dream was to enable lay people to assume their proper role in the mission of the Church to establish a community to translate his vision into reality.  The Pallottines were founded to witness to the Church and ensure that the laity are recognized as equals and are not "under" the clergy.  St. Vincent said all members are essential and that, together -- the clergy, the laity and those in consecrated life were all...

SENT AS APOSTLES FOR THE CHURCH AND THE WORLD.
WE ARE A MISSION

What do Pallottine priests and brothers do?

Inspired by St. Vincent Pallotti's motto, "The love of Christ impels us".  Pallottine priests, brothers and sisters work as partners with the laity throughout the world furthering the Church's mission to renew faith and rekindle love.  Because of the universal or catholic ideal, the Pallottine priests and brothers are officially named the "SOCIETY OF THE CATHOLIC APOSTOLATE."

Each member's contribution to our community and ministry is unique.  Pallottine Fathers and Brothers do not specialize in any particular ministry.  The universality of our charism call us to use the talents of our members to respond to the needs of the local Church.

Brother Jim is our only brother in our small province, but he does the work of many people.  He also took some time to explain what a brother is.  To learn more about brothers please click here:  Pallottine Brothers

WE INVITE YOU TO CONSIDER SHARING YOUR TALENTS AS A PALLOTTINE.

How do Pallottines live?

Pallottine priests and brothers share a life of community, prayer and apostolic work.  As followers of St. Vincent Pallotti we believe that the security, happiness and well-being of each member can be found only through a lifelong journey of faith.  As we travel this journey together, the Lord leads us to a fulfillment beyond personal expectation and accomplishment.

Each Pallottine Father and Brother promises the Society consecrated celibacy, poverty, obedience, perseverance, the sharing of resources and a spirit of service.  These promises are a sign of our desire to live in a community devoted in service to the people of God.
